We believe kitchens are magical places. It’s where families start their day, children learn to walk, close friends gather, profound conversations are held, and food is transformed into memorable meals. No wonder that’s where we spend most of our time!

A real kitchen should last a generation, at least. That’s why it deserves only the most durable materials - solid wood, natural stone and metal finishes.
A challenge in renovating old houses is that the original kitchen was often used by staff and therefore separated from the social spaces. In a complete turnover of an 18th century country villa, we turned the original kitchen into a classic mudroom and made a completely new construction for a properly proportionate modern kitchen.
The result is the most open and welcoming space in the whole house, full of natural light let in through a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and a double door connecting it into the original dining room.
