THE BATHROOM EDIT

Blending bespoke bathroom building expertise with a serious touch of bouduir bliss makes you never want to leave your morning shower, or evening bath!

THE SITTING ROOM BATHROOM

A complete turnover of an 18 century villa required carefully adjusting it to modern needs without losing heritage or history. A sitting room with three doors and crown moulding became a bathroom that looks like it was always there.

Pipes were carefully drawn between floor beams, walls were strengthened and straightened, and to keep the moulding and woodwork intact, we 3D scanned and manufactured exact replicas of the trims and skirting in Fior di Pesco and Rhino marble.

IL GROTTO SPA

A limited basement space became a bathroom with sauna and steam shower, where earthy red and grey Fior di Pesco marble creates a cozy cave feeling. Hence we call it “Il Grotto Spa.” However, marble is not a material to use in hot steamy places, so we mixed the natural material with dark grey ceramic slabs and mosaic for practicality and comfort. Mini-spotlights offer cozy lighting and a rain shower in the ceiling marks the spot of rejuvenation.

We collaborate with workshops equipped to craft almost any shape out of natural stone, making it possible for us to integrate our designs with the features of your original space. When wood joinery seamlessly becomes stone, the integrity of the original design is gracefully maintained.

RIAD MEETS ART DECO

Another limited space for a bathroom took inspiration from a riad in Marrakesh. An integrated cast iron bath and shower were tucked into an alcove of Calacatta Novulato marble, framed by trimming and skirting in the same stone.

A custom-built vanity was given a touch of Art Deco style. Blending aesthetics with practicality, a part of the skirting is attached with magnets and can easily be removed to access the drain. However, the family’s favourite feature here is the hidden hatch in the marble countertop, a shoot that takes your dirty socks all the way to the laundry room!
